Hot country radiator

Post by lemmy01 » Tue Apr 26, 2016 4:32 pm

Has anybody here the extra radiator in his atom?
Is there enough air in the mounting location?
What dimensions has the radiator?

Thanks
Ralf

I ask because i will fit a heat exchangers oil cooler. So the water cooling must be upgraded.
http://www.isa-racing.com/images/isa/cat/300/722.jpg

so its the question to fit the "hot country radiator" in the front or a custom watercooler in the sidepod(behind chargecooler).
The sidepod's already have a watercooler on each side for the chargecooling but there is room enough behind for one more :-)

Could you not increase the depth of the front radiator but keep its external dimensions the same?
Then again you'd probably have to double its depth. The hot country rad looks a neat little thing.

I take a look Stew if there is enough space in front. Custom Radiator is still cheaper than the factory hot country rad.

@lemmy01; do you have fitted now a second radiator at your atom?

I want to do one on my atom too because my engine get very hot at mountainous curvy streets.
The pic which @smokin added looks like the rad is a one or max two row rad. But the radiator has two inputs and two outputs and this is special made.

Maybe it's a better solution when you order a custom radiator here in Germany.
Look at this site: http://www.sieker-rohrbiegetechnik.de/alu.htm

No i don't have buy or fitted one.
But there is a company near to me that build custom radiators.
Still unsure where to place the second rad in sidepods or in front as the hot county rad

I think it's better in the front because of the car balance. The atom is too lightweight at the front axle.

For the balance it's better in the front but in the sidepods the rad get's more air. ;D

You can add a air duct and shroud.
Yeah, so you have to decide what you want.
