Track day for dummies! :-)

Post by Osky » Tue Apr 29, 2014 2:07 pm

Hi All,
I bought my Atom 3 300 about 1 year ago.

I need your help.
Which controls do you make on your Atom before and after a track day?  :vroom: :checkeredflag:

What is necessary to control? And, these controls, can be made by me or is necessary a mechanic?

Thanks in advance.
Ciao

Preparation for track day.......

Check oil
Check tyre pressures
Check tyre condition
Check brake pad condition
Adjust suspension to harder.......not convinced it makes much difference!
Check track regulations......wheel weights, fire extinguisher, lights etc
Clean helmet visor
Brim with fuel......and take spare tank

Have LOADS of fun  :vroom:

All done! Thanks!

Now, I'm hope in the good weather (unfortunately, the forescast says very bad weather for Saturday 3 ...  ) and waiting for the next Saturday.
I have booked on Imola track, in the Ayrton Senna tribute ( http://autodromoimola.com/imola-racetrack-events-calendar/imola-racetrack-all-events-calendar.html?option=com_simplecalendar&controller=simplecalendar&view=detail&id=57 ).

I remember the days when I used to do all that... Now I just drive, but that's a good checklist (if you can be arsed)
