Re: 2008 - Modified category.
Here's me playing around with 5 photos merged into a HDR and then the settings tweeked to hell and back to try and get the oil painting look. It's a love it or hate it thing, but feel free to C&C.
Re: 2008 - Modified category.
Here's a HDR with the Saturation upped (Peter's orange is much lighter) but then again, I dream in HD. I like color.. It's a little more photo-realistic. I have HD versions that are on my 1080P tv (1920x1080). Really need to see them BIG to get the full effect.

Here's one of Darth's car. Again, I'm just playing around in the software right now...

Top notch! Have you any shots of the Pennzoil Dragster at night? The first time I saw 13,000 horse power between 2 lanes at night will stay with me forever. I know I veered off topic so maybe they should be in a non-Atom "bitchin' category" photo thread?

Re: 2008 - Modified category.
Here's a similar shot with very little post processing using CS3's Merge to HDR function. Just a bump in the Saturation. First (for comparisons) the original one posted to the Gallery which is not bad on its own at all.

I've learned I need a VERY stable tripod and that having a sharper background (less bokah) would help these pictures. And these particualr shots may not be the best candidates for HDR anyway... Need more contrast in the originals. There's a few others from later on to try.

Here's a larger shot of my car qualifying at Pomona, Cal.- It's my avatar. Moderator- Should I put this somewhere else?

Eddie, I hate to break it to you, but I think that you might have blown an exhaust gasket. There's no way you'll get that past the noise test at Bedford.
