I thought that was his launch pad so it probably sweeps up at the end like a Ski Jump.

Actually just the opposite, the downhill section allows him to get a better launch out of the driveway, power-sliding onto the main street and terrorizing all the old ladies out walking their dogs...

It's obvious why he bought an Atom, not many cars will have enough power to get back up that slope.

Yes, the drive is very steep and to get the photo I pushed the car to the edge of the garage and then put the handbrake on. The last thing I would have wanted is Brenda rolling down hill whilst I'm standing on a chair taking a photo.
