Silverstone Supercar Sunday - 10th June 2018

There's a MCd's next roundabout north of Silvestone at Towcester. It'd be on the way for people travelling from the North, and only a short distance on for people from the South. If there are lots of other cars going however, even that may already be packed.

Usually a decent sized car park though so could be a good shout. We are coming from Milton Keynes so not fussy about where we meet.

That Maccy D's looks like it does have plenty of place to meet up as it's a garage as well.

Why don't we say the final meeting place before rolling in is there (NN12 6TQ) and we shall aim to leave there at 8.15/8.20am so arrive before then? Others like Ian can then meet up elsewhere and head to MDs to join up together.

Anyone not arrived by then should head straight to the circuit.

There is also a parade lap that we are able to drive on too. More details to follow.

I'll be coming that way, and will likely be stopping there to top up... but discounted it as a meeting place for 10-11 atoms, as they don't seem to have much parking (understandably).

Whether or not my Atom is going to be ready for collection on Friday/Saturday is critically 'teetering on the cusp'!

One exhaust component failed inspection after being Zircotec ceramic coated and had to be reworked yesterday and then cured overnight before being dispatched today!

- it was originally due to be delivered back to the factory yesterday (Monday 4th) now it will be arriving back at the factory tomorrow (Wednesday 6th)!

- without the exhaust my Atom cannot be fired up so the ECU remapping has been delayed as well as the set up/configuration of the new RT2 Dash - then, after everything is finally completed, it will need a fair amount of road testing to 'tweak' the new suspension to find the best road set up.

However, with or without, my Atom I will be at Silverstone on Sunday to admire the variety of all the other Atoms that are there!

So, one way or another, I'll see you there on Sunday.

Sunday is looking distinctly hopeful, my Atom was road tested today with a temporary borrowed exhaust and passed!

I picked up the trailer from PRG in Crewe and the proper exhaust from Zircotec in Abingdon today - now just the exhaust, high level brake light and rear wing to be fitted then a final roadtest and she should be good to go!
