I am looking foreward to it!  This will be my first test of the Harrop/injectors/tune/exhaust setup, and the new billet rockers/HD pushrods and the frt. wing. Pity I did not run there before the mods.  I will at least have a benchmark for the next trip back there. ;D  I will start praying for sun today.

Wayne,NFW!   I will TOAST an Atom3. I challenge ANY Atom3 owner(s) to come to one of comscc.org  coming events in the Northeast and see what they can do. There will be 8 competition events this year with comscc.org to be held at NHMS(in NH),Monticello(in NY),Thunderbolt(in NJ),Circuit Mont Tremblant(in Quebec),Watkins Glen(in NY). You can choose the track.I have not been to Monticello or Thunderbolt,so equal playing fields if that is important.

Loser pays the winners two day event fee. Any factory cars and drivers that would like to come...play... are welcome as well. NO classes, run what you brung, heads up.Any tires, any horsepower(including the Atom500),whatever.Fastest Atom time wins.Time trials are held on the second day after noon.Rain or shine. Any Atom is welcome.  Whiners need not apply. This is a competition club with over 50 years of experience holding official timed events and are a great bunch of drivers. Don't be surprised to be passed   :H:  ;D

So,anyone interested?  Link to event schedule...   http://www.comscc.org/events/   You will have to have an SA2000 or better helmet, fire suit and arm restraints to compete.

Sorry,Wayne, you slapped ME in the face with the gloves...I may get beat, but they will earn it.  Fact. 8)

Come enjoy some quality track time and compete against MadMaxAtom (and others..) in a safe, organized official time trial event....or stfu  ;)

As usual, you missed the point and took it personally.  My point was that the Atom 3 represents an improvement over the Atom 2.  It's faster off the line.  Simple as that.  Ask anyone who has driven both a Brammo 2 and a TMI 3.

hehehe.. :D    Why would I trade down?  (uh oh... :H:)
(Or put differently, you would turn in better lap times in a 3 than you could in a comparably equipped 2, and the same goes for any of us.)
I put the above part in my original post as an edit so that you could not possibly take it as a slap in the face.  Yet, you still did.  Somehow, even in a you against you race, there needs to be an argument about who is the better driver?  ???

I think you may have missed this bit:

Both the first and second parts in fact ;)

Thanks, Ben.  I hadn't read this far before replying above.  You've gotta love the MadManMax, though!  He's got more competitive spirit than I could ever hope to have, but my point really was about the car itself.  The throttle on the Atom 3 is just so responsive.

A statement like that is a challenge..  How did racing ever evolve if not for a challenge! Ha! I actually get a huge kick out of beating my own times on track, and look foreward to returning to every track in hopes of just a little better performance from man and machine. Not really "racing" as it is O-ficially defined..but I sure do like doing it.Plus, with other like minded drivers competing under the same conditions,,there is some scale of achievement.

The Atom does not power itself and as most Atom owners know, the car will get you in trouble real easy,IF you are not paying attention. Getting to know ones Atom requires a little seat time. No one is born to the golden chair. ;D

I wouldn't have it any other way.

The Atom is the best damn car made today. Not perfect, but the best. :tu:

Criticism (deserved or not) harms the reputation of a given company when it is aired publicly.

Gage criticism is what has made our respective countries great, it makes politicians, companies, individuals etc. up their game to a higher level. I now live in a country where criticism is seen as a bad thing to the point that ironically the criticiser makes themselves the point of critcism for doing so, trust me criticism is something you don't want to lose in society.

I am offended at TMI's own use of the word "Pretenders" in reference to vehicles such as my own and points out that TMI themselves are not shy to use criticism's themselves.

Do you consider your SLR to be an Atom "pretender"? I don't think so.
