This is tailored right for CalScot, sadly his engine has a couple of extra crankcase vents in it at the moment. Maybe Dp35, DAmN he's quick. :)

Just curious....who set the fastest lap record at Atomfest II?

Now that this thread is totally off topic..

Very well put Driver - thanks!

The "McDonald" car was Calscot driving Randy's Stohr F1000 car.  Given a couple more sessions he would've been faster than any of us.

During the "Exhibition of Speed" event, Twebb turned dozens of laps in the 1:16-1:17 range in the McDonald's car. I think the best was a 1:16.2. It needs a gearing change to do it's best at Hallett, but I'm guessing it has at least another second or maybe two when gearing and aero are optimized.

Back on topic.  I believe some TMI folks had an MTV crew out at VIR recently.  Rumor has it there's also something about a Prius, an explosion, and then little parts of a Prius.

The same MTV folks that made this request are now looking for a somewhat different set of people, not necessarily Atom-related.
I'm a producer at Lion Television, and I'm writing in hopes you can help
me spread the word about a new reality competition TV series for a major
US network. We're looking for contestants! The contestants on the show
will be pairs of intergenerational "friendly rivals" - two people who
work together but with a sense of competition & disagreement over
methods. Old School Vs New School, if you will. If selected for the
series this team of two will join others like them on an amazing
American adventure, with the chance to win some serious prizes. Please
see the attached casting call for further details.

To tell you a little about us: the creators of Discovery Channel's Cash
Cab, the hit PBS series History Detectives, and SWAT USA on Court TV
(now Tru TV), Lion Television is one of the most successful independent
production companies in the United Kingdom and United States. We create
hundreds of hours of programming every year that air on major
broadcasters in the UK and US. We produce edgy documentaries, lighter
lifestyle shows, and everything in between. You can learn more about us
by visiting our website, www.liontv.com.

Open Casting Call: Inter-Generational Friends & Family Rivals Wanted!

Emmy Award Winning Production Company & a Major US Network are casting
intergenerational "friendly rivals" as contestants for an exciting, new
reality competition series.

We need pairs from different generations! Father & Son, Uncle & Niece,
Foreman & Laborer, Fishing Buddies, Police, Firefighters, Architects,
Engineers, Chefs, Mechanics, Military, ...

You don't have to be related or even in the same line of work: Dad could
be a cop, Son a fireman, but the point is, whether you work or play
together, you have rival approaches about how to get things done.

Youth Vs Experience! New School Vs Old School! Sound familiar? Then
contact us!

If chosen for the series, you two will have a once-in-a-lifetime chance
to travel the country, do the extraordinary, and bring home some very
serious bacon. Initial commitment is one or two days of filming in the
TriState area.

Some experience with outdoor activities or fields like mechanics,
building, engineering, architecture, a plus, but all industries
considered!

You should be AT LEAST 10 years apart - ideally 15 or more. The younger
of the two must be over 18 years old.

Email a brief description of yourselves. Include your ages, professional
backgrounds, and a note about your competitive rivalry. Attach photos
and any relevant links. A casting producer will be in touch.

If they're looking for intergenerational it would be hard to beat Eddie and Darin. There's plenty of great background story info for Eddie too, a producer's dream!

"Rival approaches about how to get things done"

Like Darin uses talent, skill, finesse, methodical & painstaking preparation, practice, youth and enthusiasm-

Whereas I rely more on brute horsepower and luck- ;)

Absolutely NO problem meeting the age difference requirement! ::)

Eddie ;D

(849) unidentified did a 1:23.6 in the single session they did.
That must have been me, but it was the lap I was doing with one hand tied behind my back.
