Advice Selling my Sadev 3.5R
Advice Selling my Sadev 3.5R
After a very long time of Atom ownership I have decided to sell my fab 3.5R/Sadev. A few of you know the car.
It is the only 68 plate Atom, the last supercharged car, 2.0 Honda. As well as the Sadev it has carbon wings/seats/panels/dash etc, also aerofoil wishbones. It has the new Atom 4 dash with the different display, much clearer than any other I believe. I've just had a new tracker fitted, it has the A4 mirrors because they are nice. It has Ohlins and Alcons and Mag wheels obviously. I have a spare set of (yellow) panels and the indoor cover.
I honestly think it is the most exciting car to drive on the road.
The factory can't take it until the new year, any ideas?
The second photo below is a frame with a picture of the car on the day of pickup, a copy of the spec and a letter from Tom Siebert confirming it was the last 3.5, and therefore last supercharged car.

You might want to think about something like collecting cars. As it is the last ever 3.5R car I wonder if that changes the price at all. On an auction site you will find out what the market thinks it is worth and just put a decent reserve price on it.

Thanks, I'll take a look.

Did you get it listed anywhere already Alan?
Re: Advice Selling my Sadev 3.5R
The problem is I really love the car. Selling it is like putting one of your kids on eBay.
It's taken weeks to get the balls to post on here.
In other words no.

Re: Advice Selling my Sadev 3.5R
I'm really sorry to hear that Alan, truly the end of an era for you. Whoever ends up with this car will be delighted, it is a superb spec. I can't believe it's 6 years old now, but then I've had your old car for 6 years as of this month!
From looking at Pistonheads and Autotrader, the market for Atoms and Nomads ( and I suspect most "toy" cars) has cooled this last year, with lots of cars on the market for many months and quite a few having had their prices dropped. Only really well priced cars seem to sell quickly.
As an example, the last similar spec car Sadev-equipped 3.5R to yours, albeit 2015 with 3.5k miles, was first advertised at £90k and ending up being dropped to just under £69k earlier this year by the factory. It then sold pretty quickly.
Given the time of year, personally I'd wait until next year and get the factory to sell it. In the meantime, perhaps put an ad on here.
Good luck with whatever you decide and best wishes from Cornwall.

Thanks for that. I have to say though, that Atom 3 of mine was a bloody good car! It is booked in with Ariel so we'll see. Keep having fun!
