Hello Winmoz,

I have tried to send you a private message but don't know if it has been delivered successfully.
It says sent but when I look at sent messages it doesn’t show anything sent.
Anyway, it is to let you now that I will not now be able to attend the track day at Castle Combe on the 1st of October. Apologies for letting the side down but a family commitment has cropped up that I cannot get out of.

Sorry again

Colin.

May I ask about noise limits? The Sadev setup gives you an interesting option of cutting either fuel or ignition on downshifts. If you cut ignition the fuel still fires into the cylinders and then gets pushed out to a hot exhaust and ignites there. It sounds like a fing bomb has gone off and it is funny as hell.
Would that get me kicked out?

OK, looks to be quite a low drive by limit. Has anybody here had issues?
Even without the bangs the car is quite loud.

Alan the limit is 100db static and drive-by. If you are within reach of the track before our event you can get a free sound check, just turn up when they have something on. I have to use an addition strap-on :) to get mine on track (98db from 109db)

The final Countdown

With the track day just around the corner, it is time to take care of few last minute prep things.

1) Can all drivers please pay the balance of £160 as soon as possible, using these payment details
Ariel Club Ltd
Account 25147164
Sort 60:83:71

Please put use your forum handle as your payment reference so we know you have paid.

2) Don't forget your driving license on the day. You will need to show it at sign on
3) You will need to have a full face helmet (unless you have a full windscreen) and arms and legs must be covered in an open top car
4) There is no fuel on site, but there are a number of petrol stations about 5 mins drive from the circuit.
5) Limited factory support will be available on the day, if you want them to do do anything beyond checks and tweaks, please call the factory as soon possible to discuss with them
6) The Club has secured the services of Sideways Si to give some tuition to those that wish to have it. This is available on an ad hoc basis. Si is a fantastic instructor, but he is human, so please be mindful that he needs frequent tea and ciggy breaks as his 'office' is often a high speed/high alert environment.
7) We have not had to black flag anyone on a Club Track day before and red flags are very rare. It's a track day, we all share the same passion and we are all bloody nice people so we expect to have a great day, with your help.
8) Noise - Standard exhausts for 3s, 3.5s and 4s are generally fine at Combe. Sports Exhausts are often too loud for the 100db limit. If you have a Sports Exhaust you may need to fit an external baffle. Merlin Motorsport on site at Combe may be able to help, but as always, it's best to sort these things before the day.
9) The Track Day is being promoted by Ariel Club Ltd, with safety and marshalling provided by Castle Combe Circuit Ltd. (some insurance co's offer free track day cover for club events). Track Insurance is not compulsory, but advised.
10) Any questions, please use shout!

Is this event free to spectate at?
I wouldn't mind coming down to see some of the things i have stuck together over the years on track.
