Part identity quiz

Post by DB Atom » Sun Jun 14, 2020 7:59 pm

Hi Everyone

Getting into my (3.5) car today for a well needed spin, I noticed the part (below) rolling around in the passenger footwell. I've now given up trying to find the hole that it has left behind. Hoping someone can help identify where it be put back into? The plastic washer is 19mm dia, the total length of thread/washer/head is around 10mm. Thanks in advance

Never seen that before on an Atom. Most small fittings have allen heads so would be unusual if from your car. Could it have been thrown up by the front tyres?

Thank you, I guess it could very well have been thrown in by the tyres or simply fallen into the car whilst in the garage, although I still cannot think of anything it could have come from. It doe look like the type of plastic found on the Tom-Tom sat-nav bracket, but again I cannot see anything missing.

Likewise I’ve not seen anything like that on an Atom, but you have a Nomad now don’t you?

No Nomad yet John. Hoping for delivery this year but now looking more likely that it will be early 2021. Will be worth the wait.

Yes I did, kept it with the other thousand or or so bits and bobs we all collect in life 👍
