After 2 days on track with the Atom and also taking another Atom 3 owner out (He also has a 4 on order) what I have learned is

Seats are a lot better (we already knew this)
Braking is absolutely immense. Much more stable and more effective than on a 3
Grip coming out of corners is much better
Rides a lot flatter around fast corners

Now I have done a couple of days on track, Oulton Park and Anglesey and also 750 miles to get there and back what I will say is that the car is absolutely superb. The grip and balance around Anglesey was brilliant, you could really plant your foot hard down where ever you liked without the rears lighting up (I did have traction on but only triggered twice). The stability under hard breaking was on another level and the AP's are well worth the money. Really enjoying the engine sounds now, I was very worried when I first got the car but now being on track with a couple of other Atoms I really prefer the 4 in terms on noise, it makes the car unique.

The power is crazy (350BHP Upgrade) and completely addictive, when it comes on full boost it is an absolute neck breaker. the owner of the 3 could not believe how little you have to change gear in the 4 as you just use the torque more than chasing the red line all the time making the car easier and faster at times.

The chassis is so good I think it could handle more power without any issues so I think I might put money down now for a 4r. 3 year waiting list and I expect it will be 3 years until the R comes out.

You drive a 4 in a different way to driving a 3 it really is a very different kind of machine. the engine has a very different character to it and under braking it is an absolute monster. Just wish I was a better driver, in the hands of a decent driver I think the 350 could be unbeatable on the track

Do you have a video with the sound of the car?

Whilst waiting for Mark's video, this one is one of the better ones for hearing the exhaust, intake induction and turbo wastegate ..

Did you have the Traction Control on, while tracking it?

The carbon looks amazing, certainly together with the white frame...makes me think again about my colourscheme...
Very very nice looking carbon

Hi Peter

Does the ppf not give the Matt bonnet and plastics a gloss affect?

Looking forward to seeing some more pics, and a video clip.

No Sven. The ppf on the bonnet is not visible. It's still matt. The suspension and chassis is gloss finish though. Not got the plastics done. Not really needed.
