No way that’s going on a new car, I can only assume the part (no idea what it is) is temporary and something they use as a holding/shipping piece which is removed when the engine/gearbox is fitted ?

Focus guys, this is where the drive shaft finds its place, which can be seen at the next picture.

The caliper design of the ap racing has changed from the demo car.
I liked the yellow logo on the black caliper of the demo car.
Is the silver caliper with Ariel's logo adjusted for Atom 4?

If it is a change only in design, I'm glad if I can choose the model attached to the demo car.

I suspect its the pre-production and production versions. Doubt its an option but worth a quick call to Ariel.

Great news! :tu: 8)

Please post some pictures when you collect it and maybe a bit of a report when you have run it for a few days (assuming you have internet where you are on hols).

Finally! :vroom: :checkeredflag:

I will do a full report within 48 hours of getting the car don't worry. I already have my route planned in Central Brittany where I used to take my old Atom. No Police and no traffic and lots of bends

Getting mine early Sept. Could have had it earlier but I'm too busy & also wanted to get the 69 plate.

Cheers,

I'd love to see a time lapse video of an Ariel build. I've already got the Benny Hill theme tune music on standby.

Keep the pictures coming!

At Ariel's 10 year event, Atom 'X', their techies built a car in a day.

There was a wall mounted camera taking still shots every so many minutes.

Here's a time lapse ..

They cheated!

That was 4 people working on 1 car.

I wonder how many people would opt for a 'self-build' kit like Caterham offer? Can you imagine receiving a box of bits for Christmas and an instruction manual?

I struggle enough with the kid's Lego...

So just to give us further in the queue a concept of time, those lucky ones with a delivery date, what was your build number? We may then be able to work out our slot from this
