Has anyone noticed that there doesn't seem to be a place to fit a square number on the back of the Atom 4 ? As far as I can tell the reverse light is in the way, or at least thats what all the pictures show on the prototype cars ?

To me it looks like the Atom suits the rear square number plate for versions 1,2, 3 and 3.5, whereas the normal long number plate fits best for the Atom 4 ?

Unless i've missed something obvious, this clearly makes a difference to how 'good' your personal number plate looks, as they almost certainly reads differently depending the the plate orientation ?

I did notice that and was hoping a plate could be mounted either way, maybe you are correct, it may have to go rectangle only. It would look like this on a fairly short 400mm long plate, so to me good either way.

It's the same for any other variant like AT10M UK, etc.

And here without the logo and border.

Slightly off topic but a man round the corner from me had a Veyron for a while reg V1. That was cool.
He built a lift to parking under his house so maybe it's still there.

Still looks cool. I've never wanted a private plate, it can only look cool on a cool vehicle.

Glad I wasn't going mad, i've gone for a plate that only works on the rectangular plate, it'll be crap on the square, i've gone for Ariel and my initials, in theory I could use it on a Nomad in the future ..

Only 15 months to go

With due consideration for spacing and to conform to legal regs, my number plate would be ok either way:)ImageImage

As long as you have 1 space, it should be fine. It should be moot really as licence plates are recognised using software today which doesn't matter if there is a space or not.

What does ST19 POD mean?

STI9  POD - a bit of a nod to STIG from top gear. POD being a plaything or a device you get your entertainment from... like iPod.

I have kind of childishly imagined kids pointing and jumping with joy seeing an Atom with a guy wearing a helmet passing by and then see the word Stig on it :) ... to add to their bewilderment.

Cool. All you need now is the stig visor with the white Simpson helmet!
