Post your dragy/ V-box etc gps numbers here...
Re: Post your dragy/ V-box etc gps numbers here...
If I was at say Santa Pod, 1/4mile would have been 10.65 secs, at 126.66mph.

Cracking time! Can you please confirm for Speedmachine that that time is the actual 0-60 and not the US "not really a 0-60 time at all because it includes a 1ft roll out"?CAG3D wrote:Sooooooo much wheel spin. 0-60mph 2.92 secs.
Traction control - zero!!!

Hahahahaha, definitely a 0-60, none of the nonsense ‘let’s take a run up’ 5-60mph!!
I will improve, it had a full tank of juice, 3pm in the hot afternoon and loads of wheel spin.
Not bad for a manual.

Excellent, a proper British time then! I think you have laid down the gauntlet for the rest of us now, especially AlanP with his Dragy and fancy Sadev gearbox...

We have a misunderstanding, I just told dragy does NOT measure 1ft rollout.
2.92 is really really fast, I start in 2nd to get the best time, best is 3.5.
I have either a lot of wheelspin or a proper dip, so I know there is a big gain to find, but I can’t manage to do quicker

2nd gear start?
I think the power upgrade also puts in a lot of extra oemph on the end of the rev range
Oh I measure 0-100 thats, 60 miles is just 96km/u so that’s a bit different too
I guess I need to get some hot tyres and try again...
Edit: just checked, if I put the dragy on mph my best time is 3.39 sec.
Pretty curious to see what times other non R’s get
Re: Post your dragy/ V-box etc gps numbers here...
Yeh, 2nd gear launch, but it spins massively.
So I know I can improve on it, it’s just trying to get the balance right. Anything that hits 10 secs 1/4 mile is fast.

I’d say mid 3’s are ‘real’ figures tbh. Best runs I had at Kop Hill and various traffic light GP’s against bikes were all in 2nd gear.

Apparently an M5 can hit 60 in 2.87s.

Trust me, the Atom will do sub 3, not sure what went wrong with the M5. My RS3 is exactly as spec, 3.6/3.8, every time. So easy, launch control, auto, 4WD (a tad boring).
The Atom just spins in 2nd. With a perfect launch (probably means less air in tyres, and a set of slicks), even the manual will do 2.5, I’m sure of it.

Today did a 3.00 on a slight uphill, 2.91 on a downhill and 6.57 0-100 where I was off the throttle at the end (obviously theoretical that one...). All on another hot day and its really hard to find a flat empty road.
I'm definitely leaving the upshift too late you can see that on the graphs.
Makes you appreciate the effort that goes into setting a good time.
No times for A4s yet?

It is very difficult to get the time ‘valid’. I did a couple of cracking times, but invalid. I haven’t set a 0-100mph, but do have an 1/8 mile, 6.8 to 104mph. 10.65 sec 1/4 mile (which is a super quick car with no launch control, traction control etc). Your times are very good too.
I would imagine the A4’s are easier to launch, more rubber, more weight etc. Will be interesting at Bedford. I have very good tyres this time. So ‘Old Bill’ won’t be able to live with me. Not sure about the other heroes
