ACF50 is excellent, I have used it for years on everything from cars, trailers, gate controls, and lots of other items. Can safety be used on circuit boards battery terminals, the list is endless..

It will also stop items that have some rust from deteriorating further.
Not cheap but I think its better than WD40 which is an alternative but doesn't last as long on surfaces compared to ACF50.

Hope that helps.

A much discussed subject - If you do some searches on here for ACF50 there's many opinions ..

Tom's not very keen on it :-

I have used it on the engine and gearbox of both my Atoms to stop corrosion and it worked well. It is designed to be used as a very thin coating so put a light mist coat on, ideally using a compressor and paint gun. Protect wheels and brakes. Wipe any excess off as it will congeal and then attract dirt. It also helps protect rubber and plastic parts from UV damage.

XCP Rust Blocker is an alternative, newer treatment that claims to be more effective but have read it stays slightly tacky so attracts more dirt.

Don't know whether that was a typo, but my understanding of using ACF50, is that you don't use it anywhere near the brakes.. :-\

Correct, I should have been clearer. You should protect the wheel and brakes from any overspray.
