Re: Atoms for sale - information thread
Gotta say having had honda, indy and factory services. The factory is good value for money and have an Eagle eye for what needs replacing and what is about to go. The k20 engine needs regular oil changes so needs to be evidence of this, particularly if tracked. As previously said, you need to check ...

Re: bought a BAC Mono instead of a sequential Atom 4
Iirc you just get close and step into the seat once belts/steering wheel are out the way then sit/slide down.
It seemed easier than the atom cup because of the lack of rollbar and the bac bodywork for holding onto.

Re: bought a BAC Mono instead of a sequential Atom 4
Really good writeup and ideal read on Sunday with a cuppa!! Yes, lusted after one of these for quite a while - beautifully engineered, looks stunning, really good sound track, proper downforce and therefore very quick. Its really in a different league to the atom and also different price bracket whe...

Re: Atoms for sale - information thread
Not sure I'd call an Atom 3.5 s/s or 4 run of the mill!
But, if we upgrade, I'm looking forward to more left foot braking and better grip

Re: Atoms for sale - information thread
May have an Atom 4.5R or 4 V8? Never say never - if there is a demand - particularly if the aero is effective. With a 3 year wait list, I suspect they could easily sell an Atom 4 V8 run of say 25 Worldwide. When we went for a service, Steve was expounding the virtues of upgrading to a 3.5R and how w...

Re: Which type of brakes
Obviously, when adjusting the bias fronts should lock before rears.
It surprisingly easy to swap ends under heavy braking ....

Re: Which type of brakes
Alcons front and rear stop you in 43m from 100, the standard ones don't. On track you have alot more confidence to brake late. The alcons also have better feel and seem to require less to switch them on(coming upto temp) though this is really a pad/disc thing. Never noticed any brake fade with eithe...

Re: Carcoons
For ctek chargers as long as you put them in winter mode you will be ok because the ariel battery is a AGM one

Re: Carcoons
On the trickle charger front, if you have an optima type charger, they can handle the ariel battery on continuous connection, but other tickle chargers cause the battery to overheat and balloon, so I did a similar thing with my trickle charger switching on/off every hour to avoid this before getting...

Re: Carcoons
Thanks Atomiser - interesting and handy feedback before I spend a lot on one of these large plastic bags, .... Thanks for your comments - appreciated :tu: Sounds as though you have got what you need - a £500 plastic bag will make little or no difference unless you intend to use it out side, which w...

Re: Carcoons
I've used an car air chamber for several years for the intention of keeping the dust off and condensation down They don't really work - especially in a standalone garage The very fine dust still comes in and it won't change the humidity, so if the humidity is above 60% rust forms. I've gone with sea...
