PIDs from the Corvette. A guy found the IAT2 PID on his supercharged Caddy and that was the same as the Corvette's.

Re: The Bastard's Build

So you could use an ODB ECU logger, and then connect that and racebox mini to Harry’s lap timer or race chrono pro ? The racebox app is great but it’s just lap analysis, doesn’t collect any external data Clearly you’d also have the challenge of working out the formulas for the correct ECU feeds. I’...

Re: The Bastard's Build

I talk about the speedo in the upper right corner at the video. Maybe the 10hz receiver is placed at the wrong place and the receiver get too much wrong electrical signals from e.g. the engine. I have the Hondata logging OBDII, it's wired in and mounted next to the GPS receiver. But I would think t...

I tried under the plastic dash tray and on the chassis just ahead of the shifter. Same (crap) performance...

Re: The Bastard's Build

WOW, great blast. :tu: :tu: Your speedo is too slow. It can not follow your real driven speed. You need a faster GPS-Mouse. >:D ;D Yeah, but even if I take the time to sync it manually it will be off because it's unreliable. I even mounted the 10hz receiver to the chassis, it just has way too much ...

Re: The Bastard's Build

Set a new PB of 1:39.6 at Sonoma (aka Infineon, aka Sears Point). This is the clockwise (standard) Long Circuit (2.52 mile), a bit more demanding than the moto and chute NASCAR layouts. For reference, a modern Mercedes F1 car did 1:18 here and late 70s/early 80s F1 cars did 1:31s. Also about midpack...

Set a new pb at Laguna Seca, 1:30.69 <-- faster than McLaren P1 test by Motor Trend! Now in Go Pro 4k 120fps, though YouTube condenses it down to 60fps, womp https://youtu.be/1kM9sZ8BCN8 I got chased down by none other than Turn in Track Out though I didn't know at the time since he was driving a cu...

Re: The Bastard's Build

Set a hot lap (32*C) at Buttownwillow Raceway CW layout 13, 1:47.76 with 22psi of boost. Only my third time on this track. Tires pretty clapped out at 10 heatcycles. https://youtu.be/GD48zPQQ-Gs Looks like I was able to tie with the Viper ACR factory effort: https://www.detroitnews.com/story/busines...

Re: The Bastard's Build

Your SC cooler - at the top of the former airbox - is this dimming completely sufficient to keep the air cool? Good question. I have been trying to install an AEM Infinity with a wide range of sensors, including the IAT2 that would tell me post HE charge temps. So far no success, but AEM is still i...

Re: The Bastard's Build

Great run - I love your vids. I see you have taped off the air intakes in the nose. :H: Did you drive those times at Laguna Seca in the winter? In CA the weather is rather hot, are you aware of the oil temperature? The cooling system on this one is extensive. It has to be over 100*F to need all the...

Got a new hot time at Laguna Seca, 1:31.76 That's half a second faster than the F8 Tributo Ferrari lap record. Not moving a lot of weight here but moving! Enjoy in 4k 60fps https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyfpGp2EJug https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EyfpGp2EJug Another lap within 1 tenth: https://you...

Re: The Bastard's Build

First race of the year completed. Happy to report the new wing design is solid! It took a massive rework of the APR wing to convert it to a top mount design, custom Ciro endplates, and custom fab on the OEM mount. I ruined about half a dozen department store credit cards to get the old double sticky...

Re: 3.5R side pod refurb

How about Duratex? I've been using this coating on everything. It's designed for pro audio speaker cabinets, waterproof, scratch resistant, etc. Every project I make is coated in 3 layers of this stuff and forget about dragging nails on it, it IS as tough as nails.

Re: Ivtec article

Good article. My initial love affair with Honda engines was based on VTEC. I loved having the two cams in one engine. The i part was nice too. Then Honda stopped trying to work towards continuous lift, timing, and duration, max adjustment, over any RPM, and I lost some of that love for Honda. But, a...
