Re: Club benefits - your ideas please...

A quick one from me... RE Karls comment about the preferential rate at Haselbury Mill - this applies to Ariel Owners, potential customers and visiting suppliers alike. Limiting it to paid club members would stop them giving discounts - as we put a HUGE amount of business through that place every yea...

Re: Angle for rear wing?

If anyone wants to discuss Aerofoil benefits of the Atom 4 - please get in touch with the factory.

I believe this thread could be misleading.

Many thanks!

Yes - This is how you will need to go about re tuning your Atom 3, or 3.5.

K100 to KPro is for Atom 2's.

Re: SC Atom wanted (UK)

PhilTimo, hamtt is correct,

You are asking alot for £30,000. Personally i would recommend you remove the insistence for a supercharger. You will get a decent 245bhp car with a decent history for £30,000. Then save up and have it supercharged later.

Philtimo:

See www.arielmotor.co.uk/used

We have two supercharged cars up for sale at the moment.

If you need any more information - please give us a call.

The 245bhp car can also be supercharged.

Re: Atom 3.5R lithium battery?

Do be careful about fitting lithium batteries straight to your car - some of them are not rated to be used with a 'normal' car alternator. for example: Bybarth - that alternator battery you have there is Maximum 45Amps charging current. I actually don't know the current delivered from a standard Ato...

Re: Atom 3.5R lithium battery?

Okay - I / we / Ariel have looked into this. There are two ways of doing it. (alot of lithium batteries arent just to swap over from a lead battery) Pay near £1000 for a battery that is literally to just swap the two over. OR a cheaper battery, but it needs a different charging system. so it wouldnt...

Re: Atom 3.5R lithium battery?

If there was that lightweight battery on the options list for a £150 uplift I would have ticked the box. 6Kg is a lot to save I think. Ariel needs their own MSO division to supply stuff like that. A Is this something other owners would be interested in? as we did speak to a place about some lithium...

Re: Atom 4

Do i really need to run it in gently?! ;) >:D YES! (i know you will, but for general information) It's not the engine that needs 'running in' its all the friction materials - clutch and brakes. the brakes probably need about 200 miles - as you use them all the time. Its the clutch that's the import...

Re: Atom 3.5R lithium battery?

Lithium batteries are available in that size, but the cost implication is just really not worth it. they work out at something stupid like £250. for a car battery!

The Odessey (its a PC680) one is pretty light as far as car batteries are concerned... £115+VAT, on the shelf ready to go :)

Ariel are restricting what you can have now just so they can offer more later to get even more money from us. This isnt true... We simply don't have a 375 / 380 / 400 whateveritwillbe map yet. we dont even know if that power is achievable reliably (Ariel reliably, not yeah mate, we can get 410 for ...

Also, while there’s an indoor cover available for the nomad, there’s no outdoor one. I’d also take that as a hint.
Its both!

The material used for the Nomad cover is hydrophobic. It will keep an overnight shower off the car, but it isnt a portable garage... :tu:

Less effciency, (not by much, but it is next to the engine coolant radiator) but unchanged looks as you say.
