Re: Its a big hello from me
Classicline have always been brilliant for me. They include free trackdays for club organised days. Any other track day is around £60 to cover. Definitely speak to Ariel about the plate. Again they are easy to deal with and won’t charge a lot for the plate. From memory they even sent instructions on...

Re: The curious case of the Atom 4 brakes
Just had my 4 serviced at the factory. AP brakes I am totally amazed about how the brakes have improved…it honestly is like night and day. I cant remember the last time I laughed whilst braking! I just touch them and you can immediately feel them bite. Also the pedal must be higher as i can drive i...

Re: First Track Day in Atom 4 Abingdon Airfield
Definitely adjust the ohlins to the track settings. It works by setting both adjusters all the way to the maximum + position and then counting the clicks back to towards the -. Re tyre pressures. I alway go out and do a few laps on road pressures. Then as soon as you come in to the pits check the pr...

Re: Being thick?
It’s clunky but as you pass through the pin on the route you just have to press next and it will start navigation to the next pin.

Re: Being thick?
You have to drop pins along the route by adding additional stops. Otherwise google will always default to the fastest route.

Re: When is a 3.5R not a 3.5R?
Sorry I had a few years without an atom, so I have a bit of forum catching up to do! I'm back now though... Very interesting read there Ian, have to say Meth made a huge difference on my 996. I did buy an AEM kit originally but never fitted it. I ended up going with an aquamist kit which takes its s...

Re: Adjustable Traction Control - Any good?
The TC is brilliant. Set on 2-3 it rarely intervenes. Of course off is amusing. On a recent freezing drive, and a soaking wet one previously, well worth it. Never had it on the 3.5, but glad I do now. Couldn’t agree more with Reg on this. I never thought I wanted traction control but it is so adjus...

Re: When is a 3.5R not a 3.5R?
Methanol injection would add some extra fueling and significantly reduce intake temperatures. Fairly cheap to do as well. I run it on my 996 turbo it significantly decreases my intake temps and allow me to run more boost and timing. At part throttle the intake temps can dip below the ambient air tem...

Re: When is a 3.5R not a 3.5R?
This is clearly just a standard 3.5. It may well have been remapped to produce 350hp. But without any charge cooling it will never make 350hp consistently. Ariel didn't add the pods for their ability to collect stone chips. The mileage error is inexcusable. The rest just sounds like they have no clu...

Go on then, what did it cost? I was going to wait a year at least before going sequential but maybe I should just get it done

If it’s flat you can push the car in and out.
