Re: Cat S 3.5 on YouTube
Having watched that last Youtube video, it seems the guys are missing the point when they reprofiled part of the squashed frame, at the rear. OK, they pulled out the squashed bits, so the frame section was circular again, but they don't seem to realise that the frame at the rear of the Atom is hori...

I note that MotoStorm show 24 different types of adapter for the mirrors - which type is needed to fit the Rizoma Radial RS to the Atom?

Re: Front Plate - Do people care?
I've also been pulled in Cheshire (some years ago) for a stick on plate. However I challenged it (politely) with a letter and a photo of the car and the fine was quashed...

Re: Repositioning of the Atom 3 handbrake
I am not sure that this is the case with all AA2. However, I have the ambidextrous chassis ... I have an AA2, not the ambidextrous chassis, and it does not have any mounting brackets to fit the handbrake on the passenger side. Also, although the AA2 frame is narrower, even if the handbrake could be...

Ariel Atom in Bewdley.JPG Lockdown boredom..., looking back at some old photos, I found this - taken in Bewdley in May 2009 and seeing that car ( I didn't know what it was at that time) started me on the road to Atom ownership, it took over 3 years before I eventually owned one. Any ideas who was t...

Re: AA2 Coolant filling after drain
How did you get on? I've not tried to do it myself yet, but the following has been taken from this forum, if it's any help... The Atom is kinda unique because the radiator is up front and a relatively long way away from the engine and reservoir tank. The radiator being separated by the coolant tubes...

Re: Starter motor or battery problem?
Maybe an obvious one, but can't help but mention it.. are your battery terminals/connections clean and tightly screwed up?

Re: Starter motor or battery problem?
What's the purpose of the isolator? Is power drawn from the battery even when everything's switched off?

Re: Starter motor or battery problem?
At the risk of me sounding a bit thick, I think you may simply have a flat battery. I've had situations where the lights are bright but the stater motor simply makes a clicking sound and the problem was just that battery didn't have enough oomph to start the motor. Atom batteries need to be regularl...

You don't, by any chance, have any photos/write up of how you did this do you?RigidCollosion wrote: ↑Sat Nov 28, 2020 10:58 am I fitted a brake bias control myself (took 1/2 hour); that made a huge difference to be able to dial-in better braking balance front to rear.

Re: Acf 50 rust preventer
I have used it on the engine and gearbox of both my Atoms to stop corrosion and it worked well. It is designed to be used as a very thin coating so put a light mist coat on, ideally using a compressor and paint gun. Protect wheels and brakes. Wipe any excess off as it will congeal and then attract ...
