Re: Spotted.

Intrigued by the upgardes that make such a difference - what did you have done and how have they improved the car?

Re: Axle nut

Thanks Smokin, I was a bit unsure given that the torque settings for the AA2 rear axle nuts are quite a bit higher than the AA3, 245Nm versus 200Nm. Hopefully the rear ones have been 'marked', and haven't moved anyway, and the front ones are peened to lock them on.

Re: Axle nut

The AA 2 Handbook says the driveshaft nuts are 245Nm, anyone know what the front nuts should be?  ???

Re: Aero Screens with Base / Outdoor Car Cover / Sabelt Harness

I thought the American Atom was wider than the UK version, so I would have thought that the aero screen/base would definitely not fit the UK Atom 2

Re: 245 cooling fan

My cooling fan often comes on around 75 degrees - seems to have  a mind of its own sometimes and noisy too, bit embarassing at the lights with the fan howling away... If mine kicked in at 90 degrees I'd be happy!

Re: Winter drivers?

It's refreshing to have a short blast on a nice (dry) winters day, as long as the frosty bits have melted and the gritters haven't been out. The main problem for me is cold hands, its pretty easy to wrap everything else up warm. I use summer biking gloves for dexterity, but they have vents and after...

Re: Size of the Rear Registration Plate

I lost my rear number plate in the summer (back tracked and was lucky enough to find it lying on the road). It was only retained by double sided tape, which obviously gave up the ghost with the heat being near the exhaust/engine. Now I have drilled though and screwed it on, (as well as renewing the ...

Re: For sale - foot rest

Sorry for the delay, yes I do still want it but Chesterfield is a little further than I thought  (170 mile round trip) so posting it would be far cheaper sent by standard parcel post. If you can drop me a pm with your details and the cost of the postage then I can send a cheque forthwith. Cheers.

Re: For sale - foot rest

Hi Matt, does it come with mounting brackets etc, if so I'll take it. I could pick up if you are anywhere near Merseyside.

Re: Connector for what?

Thanks for your replies chaps. I presume that if I need to use the feed then I can obtain the 'female' snap on end of the connector from Ebay, or such, odd that isn't supplied though.

Hmm, if that's the case then it's doing nothing at either end. Hopefully someone has one that is connected to something and can enlighten us..

Flywheel cover

I know this has been raised before on the forum, but the the flywheel cover that I have seen pictures of on the forum is for the 245hp engine, it seems. My Atom2 is the 160 and the missing cover on the flywheel is a lot larger with a different part number 21351PNB000 (not 21350PRB000 as used on the ...

Connector for what?

Anyone have an idea what this green connector is for on my Atom2 160? It has 2 wires, one black and one white. Everything works on the car so I presume its for something that hasn't been fitted. Anyone know what?
