Re: Atom 3.5 for Sale
A superb example, attention to detail is stunning. Was on the Le Mans trip which I think was the cars first outing and was definitely the star car. Good luck with the sale

Ps I have always stayed NA as it’s fast enough and you cannot beat the “roar” of the intake bellowing by your head

Re: A4 vs earlier models. Newbie questions.
Rich, if you only ever drive a 3, you will love it. There isn’t a bad Atom. They are just different. I have an 11 year old 3, from new, now with 64000 miles on the clock. Loved them all, but admit the sunnier miles are better than the rain. But as speedmachine says, you don’t buy such a car for comf...

Re: Long Trips in Atom
Mr Lizard
Rarely struggled with premium fuel tbh. Found some at the LeClerc in Aime at £1.45 a gallon too. Shows how much we are being screwed here!
I did have to go 95 ron once, but had checked with the factory that the ECU would cope and it did.

Re: Long Trips in Atom
Just back from a 3200 mile trip Cumbria to French Alps; 3 days around the passes then across to Normandy war graves before heading home. One day involved 11 hrs in the saddle to find the colle del Nivolet in Italy. No issue with long trips whatsoever. The driving position is so good there’s almost n...

Re: Water temperature
Thanks John
If it hits 100 I plan to slow it down; also limit continuous running to 5 laps I think
There is also a product called “water wetter” that Steve has referred to which I might be able to find in an auto shop (too late for Amazon but will get for the future)
Much appreciated

Re: Water temperature
Opening this string in advance of the predicted heatwave. Taking my 2012 3 245 to Brands GP circuit on Monday. Slightly troubled by the fact I will be thrashing the arse off the car on what might be the hottest day in the UK! Did we ever get to a landing on what is the highest upper operating temper...

Re: Nomad v Atom - first impressions
Trigger
Zip ties it is. And worked amazingly well.
Got a trip planned to the West coast of Scotland end of March.
Then Isle of Man for the TT in May/June
In between times, am looking forward to finding some off road in the Cumbrian fells.
It’s a proper hoot
All the best

Nomad v Atom - first impressions
>Hello all After 44000+ miles in an Atom 3, new in 2012, last Friday I and my co-owner were at the factory collecting A N04MAD. Ordered at FOS in 2017, 17 months later she lives. I will post the spec at the bottom but thought I would share my initial observations. Having been the coldest, and the ho...

Re: Nomad ownership 15 months in
Karl, Trigger 1250 miles down. Will do a new owner post soon. But to my questions - wet feet: Karl that’s exactly the area I meant and your solution looks good. Will try it. As a work around, I bought sealskinz waterproof socks and used walking gaiters and feet were dry as a bone. - rain in the face...

Re: Nomad ownership 15 months in
Lighty, Karl I picked up my Nomad yesterday. Took the plunge after 6 years of Atom ownership. I will post initial thoughts up in a separate post once had the first service next week and done a few hundred more miles. Love the car. That’s first statement. The biggest BUT is rain. I had a 4 hour trek ...

Re: New Gadget
Hi
Am due to take possession of my Nomad in a couple of months.
Has anyone tried normal wireless Bluetooth over ear headphones, such as the Bose QC35, in their Nomad?
And if so, what was the outcome please.
Appreciated
