Agreed, they look really similar to the JK Composites ones. The carbon vinyl look just the job imo.
They are a bit more expensive than JK but that's no use if you can't get hold of them.
Good spot.

Stu

Re: Resin seat insert
Hi Rich, I bought some seat pads from JK composites, which cover base, shoulder, back and head. They make the seats narrower and grip you quite well. They are not as serious as a bespoke moulded option but were about £200 for both seats iirc. They are not always great at response times though. Cheer...

Re: New Potential Owner - Atom 4 - Denver, CO
The way your options work are different from the UK but your specification looks very good. The one thing that I'd advise is to go for the better suspension. You only seem to be offered the Bilstein MDS as an upgrade which you'll really, really want for track use. Here in the UK we also have an Ohli...

Re: Mud guards / Fenders
With the car jacked up and wheels off, you use a knife or similar to break the tiger seal that holds the mudguard onto the bracket (you'll see underneath where the bracket extends to.) It's a time consuming job but eventually you can just pull the old mudguard off and slip the new one on. Re-do the ...

Re: 3.5, strange acceleration issue at 100mph+
That's the first time I've heard it suggested that belt slippage is a problem, common or otherwise. Where did that come from? I've had supercharged Atoms for a long time and never had the problem and don't remember hearing it was a problem. A It's not a problem as such, and is easily changed. It's ...

Re: 3.5, strange acceleration issue at 100mph+
If parts were lodged in the exhaust then it would probably do the same at the top of the rev band in all gears I'd have thought? Phone Rookie back at the Factory and ask him if it's possible. They are amazing techs there but wouldn't change something like the belt if it didn't look worn. Hope you fi...

Re: 3.5, strange acceleration issue at 100mph+
Could it be supercharger belt slipping? When was it last replaced?
I have seen it have a similar effect previously.

Stu

Re: ATOM 4 (350BHP) 2020 — FOR SALE
This car has an excellent spec and Steve really looks after his cars. He's been Atomised longer than any other owner and apart from sodding off at the occasional petrol station leaving us lost in France, he's a thoroughly nice bloke! Joking aside, anyone considering buying a new Atom should bite his...

Re: What Harness?
I had TRS ones on my Atom 3.5 and they were excellent with alloy adjusters.
On road and on track they were reliable and had no slip.
I have the Willans ones from the factory on my 4 and they feel similar to me.
Cheers,
Stu

Re: Atom 4 - Build and Collection
I genuinely appreciate how hard it is to find/justify the extra money on bling when speccing the car. Just as a thought, if you don't immediately go for the 350 kit, you can add it on later for about £300 more than at build time. You also get the benefit or really appreciating the extra power when y...

Re: Atom 4 - Build and Collection
I know that you're going to hate me for saying this but as you've gone for such a nice spec, I'd consider the CF light covers. From inside the car you look at the back of the dash an back of the front lights predominately. The CF ones are quite a lot less bulky looking than the standard ones. Variab...

Re: Atom 4 fuel gauge
I'm on my 4th Atom and they've all been the same. I haven't run my 4 below zero yet but your experience is pretty typical I'd say. My 3.5 definitely used to show at -5l and possibly went further. Even then it only got 29l in it! On the road it really isn't a problem to go to zero but on track I susp...

Re: Atom 3.5 tyres
I never liked the A048's on my 3.5 but the Kumhos are fantastic and go on and on.
I've got the A052's on my 4 for track use and they are brilliant, They are also much better in the wet than the old A048's.
Either of these tyres will be excellent imo.
Cheers,
Stu
