Thanks for the advice, have decided to buy an Atom 3 245 having viewed a very nice one, as said above can always add a S/C if I want but sure that won't be necessary. Looking forward to picking it up in due course.

Thanks very much for that John, will do a bit more research....Rob

I have a 2 300, the only issue I have found is the rear wheel bearings do go after a while depending on how you drive. The issue is fixed on the Atom 3, but it can be retrofitted to the Atom 2 (its not cheap tho).

If you like the windscreen thats Atom 3 only as well. Otherwise its all slight improvements. The Atom 3 is a little bit better in many respects, but its all small improvements and nothing to worry about.

For me the small improvements were not worth the significant extra cost of a Atom3. But its all down to personal choice in the end.

The really important choices are n/a or s/c, brakes, & suspension. My suggestion is s/c for the noise if not extra grunt, big front brakes (or all round), and adjustable suspension so you can have more comfort when you want it without sacrifice for the occasional track outing.

Good luck with your search.

There is a big difference! The Atom '3' is more refined and doesn't have the engine vibration that the '2' has - although some owners quite like that ..

There are a number of other features which make the '3' worth having.

Search on here or Google for the reviews when the '3' was announced ..

Have looked at the factory cars, bit pricey for me, thanks for the advice, may consider an Atom 2 300, don't think there's a huge difference, maybe someone can advise?

Hi all, Am looking for a supercharged Atom 3 in the UK primarily for Road use so want one that hasn't been tracked extensively, doesn't appear to be anything like that for sale currently so wondered if anyone on here thinking of selling...Thanks

IMO I would worry too much about a car that has been tracked. As long as the condition is good and service history is there, it is not a problem. The car eats up track work due to light weight etc. Just get the spec you want, but avoid damaged examples, and poor maintenance. I don't even think mileage is a major issue as "high" miles for an atom is still nothing for the parts used.

Have you looked at the factory web site?

They have 2 S/C for sale at the moment - a 3-300 and a 3.5-310

If you see a 245 N/A you like, the factory can upgrade it to S/C for the same cost of specifying the option at build time.
