Charity Drag racing this Sunday

by silver » Fri Nov 07, 2008 5:29 am

So there is a Charity drag race this sunday, I'm entering, because it's fun, and for charity.....and there are cash prizes too.

3 categories include, street tires with no power adder, street tires with a power adder, then no limits.

So I'll be in the street tires with a power adder class.....we'll see how I do...it's an 1/8th mile track which is probalby the atom's strongest suit, it's basically a 0-100 sprint.

Funny thing is I ran it once before got a 7.49 at 96mph.........whatever happened to the 0-100 of 6.88....hmmm  granted I got one shot and I'm not a racecar driver so does that really account for over 1/2 second difference?

It will be fun, if anyone is in the area and wants to go We're meeting at Corvettes of Dallas for registration between 8:30am and 11am on Sunday then you have to drive your car to the track about 20 miles north to qualify to enter.
