Each stop 2 nights:

30/4 - Mecure Rouen Centre
2/5 - Mecure omaha Beach
4/5 - Le Moulin Fleuri du Petit-Appeville
6/5 - return to tunnel

To those that are interested I've booked the above hotels. Rooms still available with secure parking.
Exact routes W-I-P.

Normandy is hardly south!
Honfleur is lovely.
We stayed in Port en Bessin last year which was perfect for Batterie Alemande, pont du Hoc, the American Cemetery and Bayeux for the British Cemetery and that tapestry thing that's way better than you might initially think.

Sounds like the road I took in my old Tuscan 2S in the height of the summer and was still very queit!
Road into st tropez was a Pita tho!

Just drove there yesterday funnily enough. The non-toll road from Cannes to St Tropez was excellent!
Would not want to do it in the Summer though, it would be way too busy.

We're heading off to Italy on the coast road later in the week.

If you head south, Port Grimaud is lovely… 15million of St Tropez and some lovely coast roads to Monaco.. then back via Napoleon :)

Nick,

We're in France at the mo, having been in Switzerland.
Annecy is really nice, and the Route Napoleon from Grenoble to Grasse is excellent (well, in honesty the bit from Sisteron down to Grasse is great, the rest is a bit meh!

That said, Even though the high passes aren't open at the moment, the lower Swiss passes are still epic.

I’m sure you’ve done Reims… which is great for restaurants and champagne… but if you go down as far as Macon, lovely town by the river, fantastic restaurant called St Laurent…

We're off to France for a week Sat 30th April to Sat 7th May.

Other than the tunnel nothing is yet set in stone but will head west. We like to stay in nice places, eat good food and R&R.

I know its short notice, but putting it out there just in case.
