Great to catch up with old friends this weekend and meet new ones.

Typical UK Bank Holiday weather, so varied, particularly packing up to go home in the rain and the cars in a field churned up by lories putting up and taking down of exhibition stands.

Not the best of stands this year stuck behind the auction stage. Chris must love us!

Anyway it was a great weekend, pissed for the best part of it. Really enjoyed the bands.

Looking forward to next year if I get a place.

Thanks everyone.

Julian & Jane

After the epic packdown (note to self: bring a smaller tent) it was nice to finally slide out of a very muddy field...not after trying to get the fish and chip guy unstuck from a huge pile of mud on the way up to collect the atom. Got home and got the hose out immediately as everything was covered!

Had a great weekend though. Thanks to everyone for coming. Julian, thanks for the gazebo mate - it made a huge difference to being able to be social. Thanks to the factory for getting the Nomad to us as it was a big hit. Well done to all for spending time on stand and I'm looking forward to a few days without booze! Will miss the quartet singing along to Take That on Sunday night!  ;D

Roll on next year. Photos to follow...

I had a great weekend and my waspernater wife really enjoyed it as well . Thanks to Alex for organising it and the factory for letting us have a Nomad to display on the club stand .

I'm slowly thawing out having spent three hours this morning sitting in a puddle.

I also learnt not to spend the last evening drinking with the army.

Mudfest complete, and after nearly 4 days i'm a broken man due to lack of sleep, and solid amounts of boozing! >:D

Good to catch up with everyone!

I enjoyed it even with some poor weather at times! It was disappointing we didn't do the run up the hill tho. That was great last year.

I'm not looking forward to cleaning the Atom, & my tent tho! :o

Yep same here. Had to clean the car in the pouring rain yesterday before wheeling back into the garage to dry and polish! At least it's looking like the rain may hold off for the majority of the weekend!

Taxi back from Overton is booked in. No idea on cost though!

See you tomorrow peeps.

Walk there, taxi back is fine by me. :tu:

I'm good with it too. Ok look I'll book the taxi. We can always decide what to do on Thursday afternoon. I'll book the return leg for 10pm.

Yes it was but was only an online configurator. They may not have accepted the journey anyway.

Ok chaps, the taxi thing. I have a cabbie who can do the return leg so is it worth booking him and then walking down there? Would need to start about 1845 but at least we'd have an appetite! There aren't exactly many pavements though...

Just checked it - it's actually about 1.8 miles so would take at least 30 minutes I reckon. I have a guy who has said he could do the return leg but not the leg to get there.

I may just have to drive the van and everyone piles into it! It may hinder my afternoon of drinking though!

Alex

FYI I am aiming to get over for 3pm. Nice and early so we can get setup and neck some beers before the ruby!

If its only a mile each way for the curry why not just walk? That's only about 15mins...

Peter
