Hi all, I’m in the same boat as Chris. Just purchased my Atom 3.5 last week and driven it home about 350 miles through the night back up to Dundee. I won’t forget that trip!
Nice to meet you all in here anyway ✌🏼🏎💨

Hey guys.

I will have a look for the Northern Ariel chapter and try and join the club. Is it a Facebook based page or something else?

Regarding the car, here are a few photos. My other car is a turbocharged "track inspired" Toyota GT86. It's not a proper track car as I still drive it on the road, however now that I have the atom. I will probably take off the solid race suspension haha.

Welcome! Sounds like a great car :tu:

Yep the insurance thing is a joke really, maybe not if you've only had normal family cars. But if you've been insured with certain companies for a decade on bonkers cars it seems a little odd of them not to insure - never mind they'd been jacking the price up for years

First time Atom owner

Hey guys, just saying hi.

Just introducing myself. My name is Chris and I just bought an Ariel atom 3.0 off of a mate a few weeks ago. Living just south of Glasgow, Scotland. I'm sill getting used to the general handling characteristics, however I was lucky enough to drive it on track when he still owned it. The insurance was "interesting" to get as only two people would even touch me as there seems to be new benchmarks for first time atom insurance - one of which is you need to have owned the car for at least a year...figure that one out haha.

On paper its an atom 3.0 supercharged, however there are a bunch of upgrades like the 3.5 steering rack etc. Its a pretty well spec'd car with the upgraded brakes, baffled sump, aero package, built in fire extinguisher, aero screen, roll bar, supercharger etc.

Looking forward to seeing some of you guys around, either on track days or general meet ups. Hopefully a few guys around the Scotland area too.

Chris
