Hi Jerry, looking good. We had 3 Nomads on the Wales hoon in July https://www.ariel.club/forum/viewtopic. ... es#p305518

Mine was the oldest Nomad of the three. I have struggled to weatherproof the car and followed all of Karl V's proofing experiments with interest. I pretty much concurred with his view that in the end, it's probably easier to proof the driver than the car. As a lifelong biker this was less painful to me than some. However, I still have a few rubber strips in obvious places to try to keep the worst of the water ingress out. The screen does a pretty job of keeping the worst of the water off your upper body, the lower Nomad bodywork less so to be honest.

But I was really puzzled by the gap between the windscreen and the vertical frame tubes on the newer Nomads. The rubber strips on my car fully bridge the gap between the screen and frame so at least no water comes between the two.

I raised this issue with Steve at Ariel at my last factory service. What he told me is that the screen on later Nomads is slightly smaller. Hence the gap. However it is easily fixed. You just pull the strip off away from the screen towards the frame tube. It wont' come off the screen, but it will fill the gap. Job done. Or so I was told ;D

I collected the car last August and then immediately departed the country. Today was the first time out in 11 months and it's still only done just over 300 miles.

No owner extras, except for the front plate and an attempt at filling the gap between the tubular frame and screen. Also, tried a lumbar support suggested by someone and I didn't get on with it.

Driving the car, and the Supercharger whine is addictive, I know I have to run the car in, which I'm finding difficult.

Anyway a few snaps of it on the driveway (the whip not fitted). Will get some action shots in due course.
