.. but the car in that photo has no headlights ..

Was that before you modded it for the road?

Everything but!

Nothing too silly, I love the NA thing so stuck with that with the addition of TDI drop in cams, upgraded intake manifold, throttle body & injectors etc all topped off with a map, read 269hp on the dyno.

I also dropped the OEM cup spec wheels & horrible mudguards & went dymags with 3.5R sized tyres (195/225 vs 205/245)

Finally I binned the Ohlins that came with the car & put the TTX kit on it.

While it's all just pub talk really, these upgrades made the car around 3 seconds faster a lap at my local circuit (Croft) & the car is pretty much where I want it to be.

There she is at spa earlier this year

I think it's all gone now unfortunately, still, better to have loved & lost than to have never loved at all etc.

I still have my original cup car, now road registered with some nice new bits on it
