The site has always been like this for me. I might be able to help. I work at a small software company that has a few servers kicking around.

Who maintains and manages the forum?

Well the miserable server performance hosting our web site seems to be back again. :(

For the last month or so I've notice that web requests invariably either time out or give a server error message as below.
Either the server we're hosted on is overloaded, needs more resources or perhaps a more frequent restart but there must be a better hosting service that we can enjoy?

Fast cars deserver a fast hosted service !

Thanks for the update Richard ! - Fingers crossed this solves all our recent issues.

Quick updated: We went through another IP change, which resulted in some site down time, as the name servers were updated with the information. As those changes flush through, access should be restored to everyone.

We are hoping that this last change resolves the issue we were having with membership registration. To be sure we will need to do some testing, which I hope to get to at some point over the weekend.

Just to let everyone know, while the server move does seem to have solved some problems, it has actually caused some new ones. These are mainly effecting new registrations and seem to have something to do with domain name serving.

I am waiting on Piers getting a break from his normally busy working life to look at the DNS entries for me, then I will report back.

Agreed. Not had an 'internal server error' for a while.
Is this 'server not responding' likely to be an issue independent of the Atomclub site?

My error messages and non-display of pictures has been resolved since the host server reconfiguration.

It was failing badly both at home and at work beforehand for a number of months.

Yep still working a day later.  Thanks for your work on this Richard / Piers et al (who's al ?)

Getting quite a few 'server not responding' errors.
This is the only site I'm having trouble with.
Using Safari on eyepad.

OK, as far as I can tell the server migration has now taken place. We had some hiccups this morning when the host moved a slightly older version of the forum database across, but I understand that has been rectified now.

Please let me know if this move has indeed resolved the Internal Server Errors or if further action is required.

Cheers, Richard.

I did panic at the title of this browser tab, but apart from that false alarm the problem seems to have gone.

I am waiting on a step from Piers and failing that I will be back in the UK Monday. Even then there is no guarantee it will be fixed, but I am working on it as and when I have time.

I posted a reply on a separate topic and got the error message again so once again gave up and so reply is not on the forum. I think this needs to be addressed? It must be happening to many members.
