I've used an adaptor for a socket spanner before - not on an Ariel car though.

Would something like this work?

IanG thank you for the tip.

However, in order to adjust the brake caliper piston with this tool, I have to remove the brake caliper from the vehicle.
I was hoping that there is a tool where I only have to remove the brake pads and the tool is inserted between the brake disc and the brake caliper to turn the piston.
As long as the pads are still good, it only needs to be turned a few millimetres against the clockwise direction.

Handbrake piston adjuster tool

The handbrake caliper has a manual brake piston adjuster.

The piston must be adjusted with a tool so that the brake pads fit cleanly.

I am now looking for a tool that I can use to turn the brake piston when it is installed. The tool should be narrow enough to fit between the caliper piston and the brake disc so that I can turn it a few millimetres.
Does anyone have a tip on what this tool looks like or where I can buy it?
