You are right, a 245 this time.

Back on topic.

There is a cracking kart circuit at Rissington, which Mansell used when he was a boy ... apparently.

The airfield is a glider school today and motorsport events use the acres of tarmac for a bit a play and learning.

Hi John, not yet ... the long wait begins but it is strangely easier the 2nd time round.

What are you going for this time round?

(Here we go again, off topic!  :D)

Thanks Stew

I'll be booking up tomorrow. I hope it's wet - in the dry the limits on the A048s are so high!

They also do a 1-1 for 1/2day at the same time, but it's £200.

Richard,

I have done this day twice and the level 2 day. I can highly recommend the Motorsport Event academy days, they are incredible value and the team that run the day are great. You get plenty of time to practice what they asking and in a very safe environment.

I have become much more confident and safer with the car as well as being significantly faster and controlled as a result.

I think I'm going to book up for this - seems like excellent value @ £99.

It basically invloves a full day on the airfield (Near Stow on Wold) in small groups being taught  basic car control in your own car. eg. cornering, line, controlling over/under steer, braking, etc. - It's intended for all skill levels, not just novices.
At the moment they've got quite a few places left.
