The £160 was including shipping from Germany. I bought and had them shipped seperately to keep each below the £135 import duty threshold. I did have to source the stainless m8 bolts for another £5 though.

I bought the 4 mirrors for car and like them a lot. Mainly the aesthetics, visibility is improved but I don't consider night and day.
Autobackup, the extender sounds a fine idea, thanks.
Hedge, I suspect the 3.5R will stay with me till the end (unless it doesn't fit in the box!)

Alan

I bought a pair of Rizoma (RIZBS132B) mirrors from Moore Speed Racing in Poole as they were the only place I could find who had them in stock!

I also bought the Rizoma fitting kit (RIZBS887B) which, not only extends the mirrors a touche wider, but includes a range of M bolt sizes one of which is suitable for the Atom 3 series mirror mounting points.

They were a bit more expensive than the quoted £160 in a previous post - which, incidentally, while including VAT as far as I can see didn't include shipping or any possible import duty?

You can buy the non-Ariel logo Rizoma RS (Atom 4) mirrors from Europe for c.£160 inc VAT.

Ultimately, the total purpose is what you can see behind you. In that aspect, the 4 mirrors are like night and day, visibility wise. They do look good too.

Thanks Sven,

I don't see my mirrors as rubbish by any means. I like the look and they work OK, pleased though that the 4's are better as I've asked Steve to fit them. £300 the pair.

The little letterbox shaped mirrors in my 3.5 were rubbish. The new alloy mirrors in my 4 are far better. Pretty much every niggle and complaint owners had about the 3.5 and previous versions, Ariel seemed to have addressed and sorted out on the 4. My only gripe would be, there’s still no self cancelling indicators.

While my car is at the factory I'm tempted to have the CNC alloy mirrors fitted.

Anybody care to share their experience of those cf the dinky Atom 3/3.5 mirrors?

Thanks.

Alan
