-All cars must fit within a specified box for length/width (with size approximating street cars), but no height requirements.
-Cars must be driver controlled for all driving functions (steering/brakes/accelerator) -- the spirit of this is to prevent computer driven cars.
-No upper limit on horsepower, rpm, displacement, fuel capacity, or rubber compounds
-Active aero/ABS/electrical propulsion/regenerative braking/etc is okay (encourage the use of new technology, so long as driver remains a driver).
I wanna see crazy hypertechnological super machines in which nearly anything goes...something that makes the Can-Am/Trans-Am unlimited cars of the early 70's look like secretary cars. Unlimited crazy stuff! I wanna see the next level of bizarre stuff making it onto the track, this century's version of the Chaparall cars.
Oh, and only limit the funding for the cars to allow for more privateer participation. Something arbitrary like 1 million per car or something like that. That'll throw an element of "24 Hours of Lemons" into it (Lemons, not LeMans)
