Clarkson at his very best - go on J  :tu:

It was hard to limit quotes in my first post...

"The biggest problem, and itâ??s taken me a while to work this out, because all the other problems are so vast and so cancerous, is the gearbox."

And beyond the novelty of Clarkson and Consumer Reports  agreeing on something, CR  was almost as nasty in their own way.

Logano, a local kid, won at NHMS this past weekend. It's fun watching the big dawgs run the same track I will be at this time next week.We run the road course, which uses about 1/2 the NASCAR oval and adds another 9 turns off the oval on the old road course spur. It's a great facility!

I even watch monster truck races. What's not to like about 1500hp?

I pretty much like all motorsports. :tu: :tu:

Yep.Sure do. I even go to the track and watch them.(Not since DE passed...)

Racing is racing in my book. 750hp 3300lb cars with carburetors,4 speeds and open diffs. Yee haa! No computers! ('cept the MSD ignitions)

Imagine that! ;)

I think Toyota is really missing their marketing audience trying to pedal the Prius (aka the Penis) during NASCAR races. I can't even stand to watch the commercials anymore. ::)

You watch NASCAR?!!

Hybrids a marketing scam?  Say it ain't so!  :D :D :D

My buddy had a CRX HF in the 80's that got 50mpg in all the time, not just down hill with a good tail wind. It was a bit pokey, but not as bad as a bug.

The Corolla actually gets better highway mileage than the Prius.Funny how you don't hear Toyota bragging about that statistic.

It's all a big marketing scam.

the used honda civic that I had in highschool got like 70 MPG.  and that's wtih a teenager driving it.  Hybrids are a marketing scam

I can't stand their commercials, either. Makes me want to go out and buy an H2,and put a Honda Insight emblem on it.  I am really, really starting to hate the whole hybrid fiasco >:(

the most disappointing Honda Consumer Reports has tested in a long time
â??The Insight is a noisy, stiff-riding car with clumsy handling that is nothing like the Fit on which it is based.â?

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/drivin ... t=0&page=1
"Biblically terrible"
"Itâ??s the first car Iâ??ve ever considered crashing into a tree, on purpose, so I didnâ??t have to drive it any more."
"So youâ??re sitting there with the engine screaming its head off, and your ears bleeding, and youâ??re doing only 23mph because thatâ??s about the top speed, and youâ??re thinking things canâ??t get any worse, and then they do because you run over a small piece of grit."
