Terry, why did they add the spacer?

I don't know. If I talk to Jacob in the near future, I'll ask.

[quote="Spanky"]Anyone need a flywheel cover for their Ecotec?

I'll take it (and the bolts). When I was up at Brammo in August, I pointed out the missing cover to Tom S. and he said "are you sure it will fit with the spacer we have there?"

Presumably this was a change to add a spacer at some point in Atom production. With an early Atom, I should be Ok (though to be honest I haven't looked at mine).

A few offers... a few offers for trades. I'm in no real rush to sell though. But I have started on my 944Spec car :).

Yes, I haven't posted... but I have the same problem. The holes are there for the cover, but there is some kind of lip between the engine block and transmission that partly covers one of the holes. I looks like it could be dremmel'd away to make room for one of the bolts.

huh? That is weird.  did they give you the right part?  I doubt we have different transmissions

I had to order mine and it took forever.  Have them put in an order for you at least

Got my cover and bolts the other day and installed them last night.  I can verify that the previously posted part #'s for both the bolts and cover are correct.  Easily installed once the exhaust is removed (I'm replacing mine due to the flex joint exhaust leak issue).  I would suggest using a bit of Lok-Tite thread locking material to help keep the bolts from backing out once installed.

Yes, two bolts.

Are there two bolts with that part?

I got my bolts today.  Part #11085902.  Doesn't specify size at all though
