Looks interesting. I upgraded to billet bellcranks last year, but that hasn't fixed the problem completely. I'm going to have Tom Smurzynski see what can be done about the overall suspension stiction problem (which isn't just the bellcrank bearings - it looks like part of the problem is where the A-arms pivot on the frame). But these bearings may prevent wear to both the shocks and billet bellcranks. I'll report back after I get them and install 'em.

I am also looking at some conical aluminum spacers (very inexpensive), as well as these: http://www.sealsit.com/coil_sc.asp which are less expensive than the billet upgrade ($750 or so).

Terry - any recent updates on this?
Nope, sorry - I kind of let it slip. I was talking with Eric Orschel - techcenter@sealsit.com - if you want to pick it up.

So these compensators probably won't work for mine as they are for 2 .50" ID

Right. I'm working with them to do a part specifically for the Atom. Stay tuned...

That is absolutely shocking (sic)

Bruce.....what's the (sic) you always post....is it supposed to imply sarcasm?  just curious.

It means I understand that there is a pun or a double meaning or that I've spelt something differently, but that I meant to do it.

OK. It looks bad.. true. Any suggestions to cause and a possible remedy, anyone?

Fiesty, could you really feel the difference in Shinoo's Atom when he changed the shock settings from soft to hard? Are they really 22 way adjustable or are you exaggerating?
Yes, at full stiff the car is far more responsive and far less compliant for street use.  Technically they are Single Adjustables with 22 clicks of fine adjustment.  The blue knob clicker adjusts both compression and rebound.  Simple and effective.  We've ordered a slightly softer spring rate for Fiesty since he plans 80% street use.  Mine is pretty stiffly sprung.

Terry, can you please chime in here and explain why the shock body does not rotate and thus scuff off the black paint with the fancy aluminum bell cranks, but it does with the standard ones?
Cheersâ?¢

I wonder why there is no rubbing with the aluminum bell cranks, but there is with the steel ones.
They must be a different shape or maybe the aluminum ones flex more when the suspension moves. Anyone know the answer to this one?

Oh dear!  Here you go, first paragraph. ;D

Did anyone notice that both those web sites have boots and covers for rod ends?

While on the subject of dampers/springs rubbing, I have this happening on my car. Both front and rear on the LH side (RHD).

Any thoughts?

This site shows a better photo of the damper bearing Terry was suggesting. The text says it works with a spring that has a 2.50" ID.

What is the ID of our springs?
I've sent them the specs on our H&R springs and will be following up with them tomorrow.
