As above, get tuition, even if just 30 minutes in the morning and then 30 minutes in the afternoon, you'll be surprised how many bad habits you have that an expert can spot, also things like where to brake, how to move for faster cars and looking into corners will really help with confidence.
Take it easy, warm everything up, then build up to faster speeds, 20-30 minutes per session on track then back in for a break, was always more than enough for me, finally do not put your handbrake on when the brakes are hot, just leave it in gear. No one enjoys warped disks !!
